Job description

What you will do

Are you ready for your Swapfiets adventure?

Hi, we are Swapfiets! 👋 The bicycle subscription, where you are always assured of a working bicycle. Our mission? Making cities more liveable and sustainable under the motto 'buy less, use more'. Do you see a challenge instead of a problem? And are you ready for an acceleration in your career? Then you are ready for the Swapfiets adventure!

Do you see yourself in this?

As a People Experience intern you will be part of our People Experience team; the team responsible for learning and development, employee experience, performance management and everything around the office, travel and events.

Your responsibilities

  • Preparing, improving and running the onboarding experience;

  • Supporting the organization and preparing for our awesome training and learning journeys for both our operational and HQ staff;

  • Assisting with various administrative tasks behind the development tracks, such as communication, attendance list, reminders, booking rooms etc.;

  • Supporting the organisation of internal global on- & offline events;

  • Supporting in the creation, launch and running of the bi-yearly Engagement Surveys;

  • Play an active role in facilitating learning and development activities via surveys from our LMS platform Studytube, tracking the data to see patterns and potential improvements;

  • Owning & running the Internship Group with various activities and workshops!;

  • Providing support with reception duties, warmly welcoming visitors, and contributing to a positive and dynamic work environment.

Your Profile

  • Currently studying or having a Bachelor's degree in a Human Resources-related field;

  • Available to work full-time (40 hours);

  • Ready to start in the beginning of March for 6 months;

  • You are a planning & organizational talent;

  • Creative and ready to think outside the box;

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken);

  • Living in the Amsterdam area or willing to commute (please note that Swapfiets does not offer travel compensation for interns);

  • Affinity and/or experience with graphic design, video editing and copywriting is a plus;

  • Eager to get your hands dirty; after all, our core business is swapping bikes!

What we offer

  • An inside perspective of an international growing scale up!

  • Your own Swapfiets (lend-lease) 🚲!

  • Internship compensation (up to 500 euro per month);

  • Awesome lunch in the office for a small contribution;

  • Freedom & responsibility;

  • A social leave day of volunteering;

  • At your Swapservice hours: Work in stores or warehouses for a day to gain hands-on experience in the core of our organization;

  • Ambitious, young and enthusiastic colleagues within an international environment;

  • Flexibility in working from home or in our beautiful and light office in Amsterdam;

  • Friday afternoon drinks with colleagues.

Don't meet all the requirements?
Research has shown that people from underrepresented groups, such as women and people from diverse ethnic backgrounds, often tend to avoid a job if they do not meet all the requirements. But disclaimer: we don't check all the boxes either. At our company, we believe in equal opportunity and value diversity in the workplace. So even if you don't see yourself represented on our current team, we encourage you to apply. Your unique perspectives and experiences can only make our company better!

Procedure

You can now directly apply for this vacancy:

  • As soon as we think you've got what it takes to qualify for this position, you will be invited to a 20-minute screening video call.

  • If after the call we both think there is a good fit, you will be invited to an interview with two of our team members.

  • Are you and Swapfiets still as enthusiastic at the end of the process? Then you will receive an offer to join the Swapfiets team! 🚲
