Why we do what we do
We are on a mission to make cities more liveable by getting more people on bikes. Riding a bike is the most empowering way to move - freeing, healthy and sustainable. We believe everyone should experience this feeling and have access to an always-working bike. Even though our world revolves around bikes, for most people it doesn’t. That’s why we handle everything - so our members can simply enjoy their ride.

Since then, Swapfiets has grown and our iconic blue tires are now available in 8 countries and over 50 cities! But we are aiming for more: a blue tire in every bike rack.

We build bikes that are made to last. When a bike is returned, we repair, re-use, or recycle it - so each of our bikes can live many lives. In 2022, we were officially the first bike subscription to become a B Corp. This showcases the highest social and environmental standards in everything we do.
