Quality Manager

As the Swapfiets Operations continue to expand, we are looking for a hands-on, experienced individual to join us as Quality Manager – External Warehouses. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and enhancing the quality of repairs at our external third-party repair (3PR) locations, ensuring they comply with Swapfiets' standards. You will also play a key part in driving continuous improvements, performing detailed quality audits, and supporting both external and internal teams in delivering exceptional results.

Your Responsibilities

• Perform Quality Audits: Conduct official quality audits at external 3PR warehouses, ensuring all bikes meet Swapfiets' high standards

• Inspect Repairs: Examine repaired bikes, comparing them to our quality standards, measuring dimensions, and ensuring full functionality

• Monitor Compliance: Ensure that all 3PRs are adhering to Swapfiets’ repair work instructions and quality protocols

• Training & Assessment: Train and assess the skills of the local 3PR repair teams, ensuring consistency in quality and performance

• Continuous Improvement: Proactively monitor the quality performance of 3PR locations, identifying areas for improvement, and providing solutions to enhance both quality and efficiency

• Daily Site Visits: Regularly visit 3PR locations to sample-check repaired bikes and ensure consistent quality standards across all sites

• Lead Quality Meetings: Organize and lead weekly quality meetings with 3PR teams, presenting progress reports and identifying focus areas for improvement

• Drive Quality Mindset: Lead by example, fostering a culture where quality is embedded as a habit across all Swapfiets operations

• Collaborate on Process Enhancements: Work closely with Swapfiets HQ and internal warehouses to drive continuous improvement in repair processes and overall quality

• Set Up Quality Frameworks: Establish and implement a quality framework for 3PR locations, with the potential to scale this framework to additional warehouses as our operations grow

Your Profile

• 3-5 years of relevant working experience in quality control, repair management, or similar roles

• Strong understanding of quality assurance and control processes

• Fluency in Dutch and a good command of English

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire a team and implement change

• Basic mathematical skills for data-driven quality audits and assessments

• Proficient in using computer systems and software to generate reports and monitor performance

• Excellent communication and reporting skills to effectively train, guide, and work with external and internal teams

• A passion for bicycles, an eye for detail & commitment to ensuring the highest level of repair quality
