As the Creative Team intern you will be responsible for a wide range of projects within our Marketing team. Next to creating content for social media and other channels, you will also be helping out with internal campaigns and brand activations. Writing copy in all shapes and forms will be your main focus, next to coming up with ideas and creating content for our different social channels.

In this internship you will work closely with our Creative and Brand team to coordinate, create and execute content. You will support the creative team with your copywriting skills and well-trained creative eye. One day you participate in a brainstorm for a campaign, the next you fire off snappy Google Ads or an original Insta caption. You will also be working with our brand managers to create internal campaigns, renew content for our stores and global markets.

How you pedal us forward:

• Bring fresh ideas to the table for content creation; always knowing ‘what’s trending’ and translating it into the Swapfiets brand;

• You support the content creator with thinking of new (trending) concepts and pre-production (producing & directing) for social media;

• You develop/update a quarterly content calendar with support from our Social Media Manager;

• You are responsible for scheduling and posting content that you co-create with a team of creatives;

• You support our Copywriter finding the right words. Dealing with copy in all shapes and sizes: from short & spicy to more in-depth;

• You are responsible to localise our copy for the different markets (e.g. coordination of translations);

• You support our graphic designer in executing in accordance with our brand guidelines for social media;

• You are responsible for creating internal campaigns & activations to engage Swapfiets employees & our members;

• You will help the Creative team and Brand managers to execute activations across countries;

• You have a keen eye for marketing, design, consumer trends and will monitor the current landscape, put together trend reports and competitor analysis to help us focus on what counts.

The gear you need:

You are a student in the field of marketing, communications or digital. You are enthusiastic about brands, content, design, marketing, events and customers and you are ready to improve your skills together with us at Swapfiets. Next to that you bring:

• Minimum HBO-working and thinking level;

• You live in (or near) Amsterdam (keep in mind, the travel costs are not covered);

• Fluent English speaking and writing skills;

• Strong affinity with copywriting & content creation;

• Knowledge and ideas to bring our social platforms to the next level;

• Concept development of different social media posts;

• A well-trained creative eye;

• Good knowledge of print and digital execution processes;

• Nice to have: Affinity with Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign;

• Enthusiasm and good organizational skills;

• You are available for 5-6 months;

• You can start in August;

• You can work at least 32 hours per week.
