As an DE&I and Social Impact intern you will be part of our People Experience team; the team responsible for training and development, employee experience, performance management & Office, Travel & Events. You will also be working closely with the sustainability team, who are supporting the efforts to create an inclusive and equitable environment. I know, it’s a lot, and that’s why we need you!

How you pedal us forward

Swapfiets aims to be an employer where every individual is heard and respected and has equitable opportunities to grow. You will be helping to drive our efforts towards this goal, 

• Helping to facilitate our DE&I initiatives and training;

• Researching and participating in external resource groups to ideate and develop our strategy;

• Helping organize events and celebrations according to our DE&I calendar;

• Collaborating with various departments to integrate DE&I principles into their processes;

• Promoting awareness of DE&I issues through internal communications.

The gear you need

• Currently studying in fields such as human resource management or social and behavioural sciences; Do still feel free to apply if you are studying in a different field!

• Available to work full-time (40 hours);

• Ready to start in October for 6 months;

• You are a planning & organisational talent;

• Creative and ready to think outside the box;

• Fluent in English (written and spoken);

• Living in the Amsterdam area or willing to commute (please note that Swapfiets does not offer travel compensation for interns);

• Eager to get your hands dirty; after all, our core business is swapping bikes!
