As a Warehouse Manager for our Amsterdam Warehouse, you will play a crucial role in overseeing our high-capacity and biggest warehouse and operations. You will lead and develop a team of Leads, Mechanics and Logistics Operators, consisting of around 65 employees. In addition to managing day-to-day warehouse activities, you will actively contribute to global warehouse and logistic improvement projects, demonstrating your strategic thinking and problem-solving skills. Our Warehouse in Amsterdam is serving close to 100.000 members, which requires an operation that runs smoothly and efficiently. The Warehouse manager needs to be able to adapt quickly and think outside the box, providing maximum flexibility to his team members and a clear strategy for the coming years. 

The gear you need:

• Fluent in English, with ideally some knowledge of the Dutch language

• A minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience and experience with managing people

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and leadership abilities

• A Continuous Improvement Mindset

• Affinity with bikes and service

How you pedal us forward:

1. Warehouse Leadership: Effectively lead and manage our Amsterdam warehouse with an annual repair volume of 45,000 units, ensuring seamless operations, supply maintenance, and process optimization.

2. Team Development: Lead, nurture, and guide the team of Bike Mechanics, Logistics Operators and Leads, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork during both the day and evening shifts.

3. Global Project Contribution: Actively engage in and contribute to various global warehouse and logistics improvement projects, offering valuable insights and expertise to enhance operational efficiency.

4. Operations Oversight: Supervise day-to-day operations within the warehouse, maintaining the supply chain, and streamlining processes. Regularly report performance updates to the District Manager.

5. Workflow Coordination: Organize the flow of bikes through the warehouse, including triage in-store and warehouse, while coordinating the activities of other warehouse employees to ensure a smooth operation.

6. Safety and Efficiency: Assume ownership of all supporting conditions within the warehouse to guarantee a safe and efficient work environment, including safety protocols, work clothing, and locker management.

7. Inventory Management: Take responsibility for maintaining accurate stock levels of bikes and spare parts in the local warehouse by efficiently managing the supply and demand of bikes and spare parts.

8. Process Optimization: Implement workflow optimizations and projects initiated by the Operational Excellence team to improve efficiency within the local warehouse.

9. Planning and logistics: Accountable for the logistics around the warehouse: inbound and outbound of bikes and parts and planning according to S&OP and S&OE for transportation and orders.

10. Continuous Improvement: Drive the implementation of Continuous Improvement projects within the warehouse, identifying opportunities for enhanced efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
