Senior Operations Manager - Amsterdam

Join our team as a Senior Operations Manager and take the lead in running the daily operations of our Amsterdam warehouse. With over 70,000 members and 60 employees, you'll be responsible for ensuring top-notch service and optimal functioning of the warehouse. You'll be the point of contact for leads and will be responsible for maintaining the stock, improving processes, and driving a culture of safety and discipline.

As the manager, you'll be in charge of balancing output, quality and costs within the assigned budget, making sure that we service our stores with bikes that last. You'll lead a team of 5 direct reports and 60 FTEs, including leads, mechanics and logistic operators. Together you are responsible for a repair volume of over 4.000 bikes/month. You’ll oversee operations in the warehouse, maintain the supply and improve processes. 

Organizing the flow through the warehouse (including triage in store and warehouse) and coordinating other employees in the warehouse is also part of your responsibilities. Safety and discipline will be a top priority, as are maintaining the stock of bikes and spare parts. You'll also be responsible for the implementation of Continuous Improvement projects of the warehouse and driving a CI mindset in the team.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• higher vocational working or thinking level,

• 7 - 10 years of relevant work and managerial experience,

• preferably experience in planning,

• control and change management,

• You should have an affinity with bikes and service,

• and be fluent in English and basic knowledge of Dutch.
