We are Swapfiets; started in 2014 and currently active in 70+ cities, across 9 different countries. At our HQ in Amsterdam, we work with around a hundred colleagues to offer the very best user experience to our customers, who in turn receive epic service from a team of 1500+ swappers and bike mechanics.

For our Tech team, we are looking for a full time Medior iOS Swift Developer at our HQ in Amsterdam. In this role, you will be part of the Digital Team, working on the customer-facing native iOS app which brings awesome service to our members and keeps the company ticking. The app communicates seamlessly with our backend and in-house developed operations and logistics platform.

What you will do
  • Build and improve native iOS app to deliver high quality service to our members.

  • Collaborate with the product team (product owner, designer, iOS and backend engineers) to define, design, and ship new features.

  • Maintain and advance code quality to stay on track with current architecture, while ensuring performance, quality, and native experience of the app.

  • Help automate development processes to improve continuous integration and delivery even further.

What we expect from you
  • Extensive knowledge of experience in creating iOS apps using Swift.

  • Fundamental knowledge of frameworks and libraries such as SwiftUI and Combine [iOS].

  • Understanding of iOS design principles and interface guidelines.

  • Knowledge of clean architecture principles and common app architectures such as MVVM and MVP.

  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Bitrise.

  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (Git).

  • Drive to create scalable software, awareness of programming patterns and best practices.

  • Knowledge of (and experience with) Scrum way of working.

  • Communication skills in fluent English to demo and exchange knowledge.

  • Positive and constructive attitude to keep the work atmosphere fun.

  • Sense of responsibility; you build it, you own it.

  • Open mind to collaborate with Android/iOS developers.
