Swapfiets has bikes, lots of bikes. At the moment more than 240.000! A large part of these bicycles is stored in our warehouses. You are the reason our Swapfiets bikes are all over the city and, if the worst comes to the worst, also brake. Nothing goes smoothly without you.

Your responsibilities:

  • Be the mechanic team Instructor and share your knowledge

  • Repair, check, and fix Bike/Light-Electric-Vehicles following Swapfiets standards

  • Prepare new Bike/Light-Electric-Vehicles and make them roadworthy

  • Train Bike/Light-Electric-Vehicle mechanics, support new colleagues in the onboarding program, and provide OSR training of Swappers/Store Heros

  • Be responsible for giving input on the training for the Global Head Mechanic

  • Ensure the Bike/Light-Electric-Vehicle product and repair data is properly captured and up to date in repair database

  • Follow standard operating procedures

  • Deliver on the Swapfiets quality promise, following the standard operating procedures and the quality controls and audits;

  • Follow process for inventory management of Bike/Light-Electric-Vehicles and parts to keep healthy data up to date

  • Handle special case Bike/Light-Electric-Vehicles

  • Make technical drawings 

Job requirements

Your profile:

  • You are a certified bike mechanic (preferred)

  • You have relevant work experience as a bike mechanic

  • You have experience in giving trainings to bike mechanics

  • You have a certificate as Trainer for Mechanics

  • You have affinity with bikes and service

  • You have an eye for detail and are a bit of a perfectionist

  • You can work independently but also as a part of the mechanics team

  • You understand and speak English and/or local language

  • There is no bike you can not fix!
