So what does this opportunity look like?

As our new Logistics Lead, you will play a hands-on role in the Danish logistics team where you will be responsible for all the daily logistics processes within Denmark. Here you will ensure a sufficient and on-time supply of bikes and spare parts to all of our locations, and subsequently thousands of members, so they always have a functioning bike and can enjoy a worry-free ride. In this role you will lead a passionate team of approximately 9 employees, including 5 logistic operators and 4 drivers across our two warehouses in Copenhagen and Odense.

You will be a part of Swapfiets Denmark, with 100+ employees in our four cities, and Swapfiets globally with ~1.500 employees in 8 countries across Europe.


Your responsibilities:
  • Overseeing and coordinating supply and demand of bikes, and communicating accordingly in close collaboration with our Store & Field and Warehouse teams

  • Leading coordinating and scheduling the work of truck drivers

  • Scheduling inbound product deliveries to the warehouse and coordinating outbound loading of products

  • Planning storage pickups and deliveries to the warehouse

  • Managing the minimum stock levels of spare parts at the warehouse

  • Planning outbound transportation of spare parts to the store

  • Organizing stock counts and overseeing movement tracking data

  • Acting as a back-up for central logistics processes and distribution center logistics

Job requirements

Your profile:

You are known as a person who is highly organized and structured, you enjoy ensuring that deadlines are met with a high level of service. You understand the importance of being able to maintain the overview and staying in touch with the people who are depending on you, you are reliable and you always make sure that your stakeholders are in the know.
Lastly, being able to take on responsibilities in a role that will have plenty of development and improvement opportunities, sounds like the perfect match for you.

Your core competencies are:

  • Background in logistics and you preferably have up to 3 years of experience in working with it

  • Experienced user of Excel/Google Sheets

  • Service-minded and communicative even under pressure

  • Fluency in English, written and spoken, preferably you are fluent in Danish too, but conversation level Danish is also acceptable

  • Knowledge of how to manage and motivate people
