As a Mechanic Lead you are the indispensable link within the coolest team in our operation. You are largely responsible for the quality of our city bikes and e-bikes. In addition, you ensure that we are never surprised with our stock amounts! You make sure your team has a safe and fun environment to work in!

Your responsibilities:

• You lead the coolest team within the Swapfiets, consisting of technicians, mechanics, and senior mechanics;

• You coordinate the daily tasks and organize team meetings in which you always manage to motivate your team;

• As a Mechanic Lead you also help with HR related processes such as recruitment, performance management, illness and leave;

• You are responsible for keeping our stock management up-to-date;

• You coordinate quality checks and the correct processing of data;

• You support new colleagues with the onboarding program and provide training;

• You ensure a safe working environment;

• We strive for a 100% recyclable bicycle. As a point of contact for the waste flows in the workshop, you play an important role in making us more sustainable.

Your profile:

• You are a certified bicycle mechanic / car mechanic (MBO), although we find experience and craftsmanship more important;

• You have experience in leading a team of bicycle mechanics;

• You are able to coach and enthuse colleagues;

• You are available full time, or at least 0.8 FTE;

• You have an eye for detail and you are a perfectionist;

• You get along well in English and Dutch.
