As the People & Culture (P&C) Business Partner for our operational teams in Central Europe (Netherlands, Belgium, Italy and Spain) you will be responsible for making sure that Swapfiets is and remains an amazing employer. You will be working mainly with our operational managers to make sure that they are aware of ongoing HR related matters, outside and inside Swapfiets. Besides that, it’s your responsibility that our HR strategies and processes are being implemented. To keep connected to the business, you make sure to visit the warehouses regularly and build excellent relations. You visit Amsterdam (bi-)weekly, Belgium once a month and Italy and Spain yearly. You take great joy out of building trusted relationships with your stakeholders and with your excellent communication skills you are able to build bridges when necessary.

Your Responsibilities

  • Re- and co-creates global HR strategy, processes, standards, guidelines, trainings etc. to local requirements that is compliant with the local labour laws and collective labour agreements / unions;

  • Advises the General Manager, District Managers and Country Managers on HR topics;

  • Orchestrates and focuses on talent management, employee engagement and change management;

  • Acts as first point of contact for managers in case of complex HR topics;

  • Participates in global HR projects and always owns a piece of the pie;

  • Develops managers by training them on HR topics;

  • Oversees the happy flow of the employee journey in the countries & flags the right things to other P&C centers of expertise.

Job requirements

Your Profile

  • Higher vocational or academic working and thinking level;

  • 3-5 years of working experience in HR in a fast-growing organization;

  • Affinity and working with CAO’s;

  • Knowledge of local employment law in the Netherlands (other labour law knowledge of Belgium, Italy and/or Spain is more than welcome);

  • Able to switch between strategic and operational tasks;

  • Show agility to change and willingness to make HR better at Swapfiets;

  • Excellent in English and Dutch.

  • Experience with/open to new cultures and ways of thinking since you will be working closely with our international HR team!
