Full-time Financial Controller. This opportunity is open for 40 hours a week.
You'll be at the forefront of overseeing the complete administration of all our entities, ensuring everything is accurate, complete, and delivered on time. You'll also play a vital role in making our new ERP, SAP S4HANA Public cloud, a resounding success. Besides that, you'll prepare analytic reviews and monthly reports, providing your input to the Group Financial Controller. You'll need to have a thorough understanding of Swapfiets' service/subscription business model, markets, organization, and regulatory environments. You'll be working closely with the group finance function, including reporting, tax, and treasury. You'll play a key role in preparing external reports, including drafting board packs and managing reporting to investors, lenders, and other external stakeholders.
As you continue to grow in your role, you'll also automate critical finance and accounting tasks and maintain the control framework. Staying up-to-date with Dutch GAAP technical knowledge is crucial as you'll own the group and subsidiary accounting policies. You'll even be involved in treasury management, including multi-currency FX, and prepare and deliver VAT returns.
But that's not all - you'll supervise and coach the junior Financial Control and Finance Support team to grow, ensuring that all financial data is checked and delivered before the set deadlines. You'll develop ways of working that increase efficiency, safety, and sustainability, and ensure business alignment.

Job requirements
Your profile:
Our ideal candidate will be somebody with an AA qualification and has 5-7 years experience of working within a compilation accountancy firm or has been a finance / accounting manager. Next to that you bring:
SAP S4HANA Public Cloud experience;
Applies acquired expertise to analyze and solve problems without clear precedent.
Gives input on financial control strategy and contributes on a tactical level.
Effective command of technical skills and professional skepticism;
Ability to manage, develop – coach young talent in their professional career;
Mastery of Excel and databases;
Great skills in English, Fluent in Dutch
