Then you are ready for the Swapfiets adventure! You’ll join the small Continuous Improvement team, to drive change in the Operations department.

As Continuous Improvement Lead, you will lead initiatives & projects that enable sustainable growth in the logistics, repair and stores operations! Sometimes, you will be implementing the relevant LSS tools & systems and upskilling the organisation on problem-solving and other LSS and change management concepts. Other times, you will take a more leading role to drive the improvement projects yourself, especially for more challenging, cross-functional process improvements and problem-solving assignments.

Your responsibilities

• You’ll be responsible to drive the continuous improvement mindset at Swapfiets: foster improvement by all teams and employees, and the sharing & implementation of best practices across locations, functions and geographies, with initial focus is on Operations.

• You lead the implementation of CI tools & systems in the defined departments & sites, in alignment with the CI strategy. At the moment, there is a great need to roll out Daily huddle, 5S, VSM or process map.

• You facilitate Kaizen-workshops & coordinate CI-workgroups within the Operations to drive direct improvement of efficiency, safety, quality & sustainability of repair, logistics, store service processes!

• You measure & communicate progress of the CI initiatives to stakeholders in the Operations

• You train the Operational teams on CI tools & systems: Basic problem-solving, process mapping, as well as the CI tools we’ll implement!

• And you ensure sustainability over time of the implemented CI tools & systems.

Your profile

• Higher vocational / academic thinking level

• At least 3–5 years of work experience

• Experience in workshops facilitation

• Know Lean methods and can train on many (Visual management, A3, 5S, Value Stream Analysis, Standard work, etc.);

• Excellent networking, interpersonal and communication skills;

• Strong analytical and didactical skills;

• Comfortable working both digital and hands-on;

• Affinity with bikes, repair and logistics, operations;

• Fluent in English (and in a local language);

• Ready to be on the shopfloor, and thus travel 25-50% of the time.
