Your goal

At Swapfiets we say we are a bike membership company enabled by tech. Therefore we will create a new department of Data, Digital and Tech of which you can be part of. As a Data Manager you will be responsible for our Data & Tech team which consist Data Analysts, Business & Performance Analyst and Tech Support. You will be reporting to the Director of Data, Digital & Technology. The objective of your team is to make the organization more efficient by providing insight and using automation while maintaining data quality and data end-user interaction. Next to this you will optimise the feedback loops of our Tech-support team and make sure that our technical hardware is set for the future.

  • Responsible for the scalability of our Data infrastructure Swapfiets wide;
  • Manages all applications used within Swapfiets and is responsible for this budget;
  • Leads and guides projects across the whole data science ecosystem such as:
    • Implementing data pipelines (both relational and event data);
    • Designing data models;
    • Developing and implementing statistical and machine learning models;
    • Creating dashboards for operational and management reporting.
  • Makes sure the team is set up to perform efficient and effective within budget;
  • Provides the business with insight in order to take data driven decisions;
  • Makes sure all swapfiets applications are scalable and fit for future;
  • Responsible for all the IT hardware (e.g. laptops and phones);
  • Responsible for the Tech Support and Data roadmap;
  • Leads stakeholder management and roadmap prioritization.

  • Higher vocational or academic working and thinking level on a data/statistics level;
  • Have expert knowledge of most of our stack: AWS (Redshift, ECS, Lambda, S3), Airflow, Docker, Snowplow, Python, DBT, SQL, Tableau;
  • 8+ years of work experience within Data;
  • Experienced data scientist / engineer;
  • Experience with scrum way of working.
