Grab the opportunity.
I started in Nijmegen in 2018 as a Swapper. After being a Swapper, I worked at Swapdesk, later with a stronger focus on financial issues and now I am a Legal Council at Swapfiets and I am part of the finance team. On the side I am still studying law. When I started, it was very informal and all about beer and fun, and now it's become more professional, and I've also been able to grow between my jobs. There is not a single skill that I did not develop at Swapfiets. Swapfiets grants you every opportunity for your professional carreer, grab it.

Work hard, play hard.
I started at Swapfiets on January 1st, 2019 as a Swapper at the new Arnhem store. Unfortunately, the store opening was delayed by almost half a year, so I spent the next six months helping out in various roles. When the Arnhem store finally opened, I worked as a Swapper for a year and a half before applying for and becoming a Store and Field Lead for Arnhem. After almost four years in this role, I decided to explore other opportunities within the company. I ultimately took on the role of Global Theft & Recovery Specialist in December.
Working at Swapfiets has been a wild ride, with the opportunity to experience various aspects of the company and participate in fun team building activities like the Santa Run. I've loved the freedom to take on different roles and responsibilities and the variety and teamwork that comes with working at Swapfiets. M
Alexander Prijs, from Store & Field Lead to Bike Recovery Lead
Colleagues become friends.
I am an intern in the Supply Chain Innovation Team for Fleet Management. On the side I am still working as a swapper and truck driver in Amsterdam. But in my internship I am partly responsible for fleet management in the Netherlands together with the fleet manager. We are developing the processes, but also looking for improvements, for example to have a more sustainable fleet. Next year we will hopefully have electric buses. It's nice to work on different projects and to know no two days are the same.
