It all started as a start-up in Delft (Holland) with 40 used bicycles and now you can find us in more than 50 cities in 9 countries with our self-designed bicycles. How did we do it? With our one of a kind service - Celebrated by more than 250,000 happy Swapfiets members. But we want to achieve even more and for that we need you!

At our warehouse in Amsterdam we are currently looking for a: Bike Mechanic


Has making a bike always been your passion and do you stick tires with your eyes closed? Rather roll up your sleeves than lazing on the couch? Do you see a challenge instead of a problem? Are you looking for a nice job at a fast growing organization?

This is what you're gonna do:

  • Repair Bike/Light-Electric-Vehicles on its own with no supervision needed;

  • Work in a safe way (safety is everyone's responsibility);

  • Repair, check, and fix Bike/Light-Electric-Vehicles following Swapfiets standards;

  • Follow standard operating procedures and be proficient in 100% of the repair tasks of the warehouse without supervision required;

  • Prepare new Bike/Light-Electric-Vehicles and make them roadworthy;

  • Ensure the Bike/Light-Electric-Vehicle product and repair data is properly captured and up to date in repair database;

  • Deliver on the Swapfiets quality promise following the standard operating procedures and the quality controls and audits;

  • Follow process for inventory management of Bike/Light-Electric-Vehicles and parts to keep healthy data up to date;

  • Handling special case Bike/Light-Electric-Vehicles (in use, double frame numbers, founds, missings, special brokens that require documentation for insurance/police)

  • Organize broken inflow and pre-organizing Bike/Light-Electric-Vehicles for mechanics (Triage).

  • No defective bike is too crazy for you.
