We are looking for a Commercial Business Developer to drive our members growth through effective brand awareness and strategic partnerships. This journey on a blue wheel will be characterised by hyper growth, overcoming roadblocks in a creative way and rolling up your sleeves to promote Swapfiets in the current operating cities.
To help you achieve these goals, you will work closely with the General Manager Southern Europe & UK, country brand manager and collaborate with HQ teams like, B2B & partnerships, acquisition & retention team and global retail. The role is based in London.
Explore constantly new business opportunities allowing Swapfiets to promote movement on liveable cities and therefore increase our market share.
Develop ideas for creative ways of promoting Swapfiets in the country in collaboration with the local brand manager.
Use data and local research to understand what activates our members, and use these insights to develop, and deepen the relationship with end-to-end owned campaigns, for retention and defending churn.
Build strategic partnerships with local companies, venues and city partners (municipalities, universities, biking associations…) to create growth opportunities and build brand awareness in collaboration with the international B2B & partnership manager.
Support the General Manager to develop local strategies to acquire new leads (B2C/B2B) and activate current members.
Support the product team in the launch of new products, adjust the offering to make sure it’s a success in the market.

You are a self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset. You know how to work in a start-up/scale-up environment and how to achieve growth. You’ve got a strong sense of ownership and aren’t afraid to be hands-on. You like to be pioneering and make a real impact. You have got:
Academic working and thinking level
4-6 years of working experience
Solid understanding of direct to consumer business
Exceptional communication skills (internal and external)
Good stakeholder management
Background in business development
Experience in startup or scale-ups
Excellent in English
Good negotiation skills
Flexible, willingness to travel
