We are Swapfiets; started in 2014 and currently active in more than 60 cities, across 9 different countries in Europe. At our HQ in Amsterdam, we work with around 120 colleagues to offer the very best user experience to our customers, who in turn receive epic service from a team of 1500+ swappers and bike mechanics.
In this role, you will focus on improving our e-commerce conversion rate. Swapfiets has ambitious growth targets and we believe a big part of that growth is fueled by improving the way we sell our product digitally. One important aspect is increasing our e-commerce conversion rate. Furthermore, this role will be the go-to-person in sharing best practices on continuous improvement & experimentation in Swapfiets.
What are you going to do?
You will be joining a multi-disciplinary product team (members team). This team is focussing on our e-commerce solution with their main KPI being conversion rate; This website is their first port of call for our prospective members and where we showcase our bikes and other products in pixel perfect sleek interfaces. You will likely be focusing on the following areas:
Conversion Rate Optimisation & Online Persuasion - We’ll be identifying and running all sorts of experiments through amongst others, customer interviews, a/b tests and lean startup methods to validate our hypotheses. This is to ensure that changes we make to the website and our interfaces give measurable improvements to our users’ experience. You will be in charge of running this process.
Advocate an experimentation mindset - Smart and rapid experimentation is a skill we want to share with all of Swapfiets. In this role, it’s important that best practices are shared outside the product team.
Performance - We’re always optimizing and care a lot about our performance. Next to the website you can help our acquisition and retention teams with validating or optimizing their performance such as SEO, email click throughs, landing pages and success of new product features or services.
Empowering our members - We want to give our users the best information in the best way possible surfacing the value of our products in clear & engaging ways. We also want our checkout process to be as smooth as possible, from the moment a user selects a bike to receiving their personalized confirmation email.

The ideal candidate will have
3+ years of working experience, we are looking for someone who did this before
1-3 or more years of experience doing Conversion Rate Optimization
Experience in B2C companies or creating products for B2C markets, preferably with selling subscriptions
Experience working in an Agile / Scrum team
Experience with collecting and interpreting customer insights from different sources like online analytics, screen tracking data, online survey data, ab-testing software etc.
The ability to self-start in resolving problems or exploiting opportunities and organizing enthusiastic colleagues around new initiatives
Plenty of courage: you are not afraid to show entrepreneurship and take responsibility
Excellent communication skills in English.
