Sr. QA Engineer

We are Swapfiets; started in 2014 and currently active in 70+ cities, across 9 different countries. At our HQ in Amsterdam, we work with around a hundred colleagues to offer the very best user experience to our customers, who in turn receive epic service from a team of 1500+ swappers and bike mechanics.

Your goal

In this role, you will be part of the Engineering team; the heart of our operation. Our website is a progressive web application that enables prospect users to order, pay, and schedule the delivery of their Swapfiets in different languages and regions. It's all about converting new customers into proud Swapfiets members.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the whole testing process and following up until issue resolution

• Lead the test chapter and elevate testing to a higher level

• Develop and execute end-to-end, regression, integration, automated and stress (load, performance) testing and database querying of features and experiments

• Provide training and workshops on the topic of testing culture and best practices

• Stay up-to-date with testing tools, methods, and strategies

• Troubleshooting and investigating issues, improving product documentation for reducing problem-to-resolution time and improving testing practices

The ideal candidate will have

• Expert knowledge of manual testing and testing process in Agile software development
• Sufficient knowledge of working with SQL databases, and running your tests in Azure DevOps environment
• Proficiency in writing APIs tests with REST Assured and working with one of more of the following technologies: Typescript, Javascript, C#
• An ability to design and implement test automation suites and coach other QA engineers
• Demonstrated experience creating status reports based on automation reports
• Proficiency in managing CI/CD processes and tools
• Fluency in English
• A plus: Experience with Azure Cloud
